I always get affected by those problems which are widespread enough to affect a large part of people with the GTX 970.
Why? Because I got a GTX 970 and have ALWAYS had trouble with performance in the game when there has been a problem caused by a patch. If I do, then it's likely it's the patch. If I don't, then it's likely to be on your end.
I'm going to log in in about 20 minutes (gotta eat) and check if I have any problems.
